Chen Hong received both his B.S. and Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Tsinghua University. He is interested in how the brain processes music, speech, and other auditory stimuli, specifically from acoustic to semantic information and even emotional feelings.

She holds an M.Sc. in Education from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in English/Translation from Central China Normal University.

His research interests mainly focus on medical image processing and analysis, multimodal data analysis and learning, machine learning and their applications on brain disease classification and prediction.

Her research interests mainly focus on how children learn and process language, specifically the underlying mechanisms and the developmental trajectory of statistical learning of language acquisition throughout childhood.
rujunduan[at]cuhk.edu.hkXiming received her Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuroimaging from University of York. She is interested in how the brain processes semantic (and other) features during language comprehension and verbal communication.
ximingshao[at]cuhk.edu.hkHanlin Wu holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is interested in how speech is represented, processed, and learned by human brains (and artificial systems).

He received his B.A. in English Studies with a minor in Psychology from the University of Macau. His research mainly focuses on language learning, multimodal linguistics, and turn-taking & discourse.

Her research focuses on non-native grammar learning, particularly in instructor-learner interactive contexts. She is also interested in exploring individual differences that underlie second language grammar learning.
